VACATION TIME!

We go to Destin for a week every July.  We have been going there every summer since our kids were young.  We bought a little condo time share there many years ago.  It is really too small for us now that Rachel and Josh are married, but we just pile in there. 

Okay, so this is what vacation is all about, right? Catching up on much-needed rest. There couldn't be a better place to do that...the warmth of the sun along with just enough breeze to keep you from burning up. Ahhh...

This is Floyd's, one of our very favorite places to eat.  They have the BEST all you can eat shrimp!  We don't get the popcorn shrimp like it says on the sign.  We get broiled and fried shrimp, and this year they were the biggest and best they had ever had!



Terry's sister, Wanda, and her family happened to be in Destin on vacation the same week we were.  It wasn't planned that way, but we got to spend some time with them.  His sister, Barbara, lives about 45 minutes away, and Terry's mom stayed with her for the week.  We all met at Floyd's one night for dinner.

This is also one of our favorite places to go.  We go here every night after we eat our huge dinner.  They have the BEST frozen custard.  We get the "concrete" which is kind of like the Dairy Queen blizzard.  They are absolutely wonderful.  So bad, I know, for SO good!!



We like to go to this little outdoor mall area at night.  Sometimes we see a movie or just go walk around.

We had a great week of relaxation and fun, now ready to get back to reality.  I LOVE VACATION!!

MY FLOWERS

I'm really loving my flowers this year.  They make me feel real good!!

KNOXVILLE BOAT RIDE

We went along on a boat ride with the Knoxville section.  We had a great turn-out, and the weather was beutiful.  We had a great meal and entertainment. 



After we ate, we were free to fellowship and enjoy the scenery. I don't know what they were talking about here, but it sure looked serious!

Terry's Birthday

Wow, I've hardly had a chance to catch my breath recently! And, in the midst of it all I forgot to post about Terry's birthday. The office gave him what was supposed to be a surprise party, but when Shannon, his secretary, sent out an e-mail reminder a little bit before the party she forgot and sent it to him, too! It was so funny. They did it just the way he likes it...in Tennessee style. He loved it!

Terry has a great office staff. They are all efficient and do an excellent job...and they're loads of fun on the top of it!
