PARTY TIME!

Terry had a meeting with the executives in December, so I had the wives who came with their husbands over for a Christmas lunch while the guys were meeting. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did!

Then, that night we all went out as a group. We went to a little Italian restaurant in Hendersonville that I had never heard of. They had really good food, and we had a great time!

We had the District Office Christmas party in December as well. It was a blast!

We played dirty Santa. It didn't get real dirty, but there were a few gifts that were the favorites, and they were stolen quite a bit!

I saved my favorite picture of the night for last. I think this is SO cute of Deborah! She had put on the hat she got as her gift. It was hilarious!!

BELLSHIRE ASSEMBLY CHRISTMAS PARTY

Bellshire Assembly had their church Christmas party at the campground. Chris and Shannon and their team did all of the decorating and cooking, and did they ever do fantastic!

They had a great turnout from their church, and everyone had a great time.

The food was delicious! We had cornish hens with all the fixings.

I thought the desserts had to be bakery-made, but actually Shannon made them all. They were beautiful and SO good! She is a great cook!!

The pastors of Bellshire, Scott and Loni Dobbins. They are wonderful pastors, and their people really love them. Bellshire Assembly is blessed to have them.

I had to catch this one serious picture of Chris. You know that doesn't happen very often, and I was glad to capture the moment!

If you need a place to have a function, you should really consider the campground. Chris and Shannon do an excellent, professional job. You would not be disappointed!

It's Official! Record-breaking Chick-Fil-A ice cream cone!

Anybody who knows Terry knows how much he loves Chick-Fil-A ice cream. Well, we went there last night, and they gave him the biggest cone he has ever gotten there!
The employees were proud of it and were happy to pose!!

A close-up shot.
The only thing that beats this is the ice cream cones Rachel used to make him when she worked at Stratton's in Ashland City.  They were super-sized!!

MY BIRTHDAY

We celebrated my birthday at Kabuto's, one of our favorite places to eat.

I never know what to expect from Michael. Along with his gift, he enclosed these little notes. I am always asking him to unload a piece of furniture I have picked up at a garage sale or move a piece in the house. He gets really tired of it and sometimes grumbles about it. The one on the right you can't really read but it says, "coupon good for 1/2 ton of furniture moving without complaining". That should last for a good long time!

I had a great birthday!  I'm thankful for another year God has given me.  I am blessed!

Christmas Decorations

I love decorating for Christmas, so I thought I would share some pics of our house at Christmas.

This little table is in my entryway.  I found it at our neighborhood garage sale.  The mirror is an old gold mirror that I painted.  I love re-purposing what I have.  It's so much more fun that way!

I was in T.J. Maxx the other day and found some wrapping paper with old Christmas hymns on it.  I bought a roll and then cut a piece out and framed it.

My dining room.  We got the table and chairs off Craigslist.  Notice the top of the china cabinet...

These are on top of the chi na cabinet.  This is another old mirror I painted.  I bought these bottles at a yard sale back in the summer because I liked the way they were shaped.  I painted them white and then rolled them in Epsom salts while they were still wet.  I found the idea here

I made my centerpiece.  I made Christmas trees out of wrapping paper.  I bought the stars at Michael's on put them on top.  The glass container has crunched-up ___ in it with water on top.  It looks like real ice!!   I put them on a tray I already had and sprinked Epsom salts around them.

Hope you liked the Christmas tour!!

Crafting

I had a couple of craft days at my house with some of my friends from work. I had some chargers I found at a garage sale and some chalkboard paint that some did, and others brought their own crafts to do. We all pretty much like crafting, so we decided to try to get together every month. It's a lot more fun when you have someone to do it with.

Honey is working on a charger.

Michele and Amanda

Heather is making some coasters using tiles and scrapbook paper.  Really easy and very cute.  She made camaflouge ones to use in her "man's cave" at home.

Amanda needed a costume.  She was making a lion's mane using an old furry coat.  Pretty clever idea!

This is Honey's finished charger.

Heather's charger.

Amanda's mane.  She spent hours working on this.  I thought the finished product was amazing!

It's hard to tell what these are, but Kristen made some cute little flower barrettes for her daughter.

This is at our second class.  Everybody pretty much did their own thing this time as well.

Heather made a really cute fall wreath.  The flowers are made from fabric that you twist and roll.  She put buttons in the center of the flowers.  I loved it!

Rachel made a charger using chalkboard paint in the middle.  I LOVE chalkboard paint!  I've made several things using chalkboard.  It's a very inexpensive way to decorate.

Amanda designed her own clay flower pot.

I love these girls!  I worked with some of them for years in the office.   Now that I'm not in the office any more, this is a great way for me to see them.
