A cowboy/cowgirl wedding

I went to the wedding of a friend, Tonya, who works with me. She is pretty much a cowgirl, so it seemed only fitting for her to have a cowboy-themed wedding. It was SO cute!

I loved the mason jar lighting!

The bride hanging out with her bridesmaids.

The wedding cake.
Westernized unity candles.

No cowboy wedding is complete without a visit from the dog!

Wishing happiness to the bride and groom!!

A wedding, a flood and Mother's Day

We went to our niece's wedding in Alabama. We have a small family (I have one sister who has two children), so this was a big event for the family. This is Kelly and Sean at the rehearsal dinner. My sister, Brenda, putting Kelly's veil on.
Rachel and Kelly.
My brother-in-law walking Kelly down the aisle. Isn't she beautiful?
Was she one happy bride or what?
The beautiful couple! We wish them all the happiness in the world!!

We had heard that the weather was getting bad, so we left a little early from the reception. It was a good thing we did. The roads were flooded everywhere, and we had to take so many detours. It took us hours to get home.
After we got back, Josh and Rachel went to check on Josh's brother's house. It was completely flooded. This is Josh in their yard.
The next day we rode to Ashland City where we used to pastor because it was hit especially hard. This is the church we pastored and built while we were there. It was completely flooded as well with five feet of water in the sanctuary. It was heartbreaking to stand there looking at somewhere we had been for so many years and put so much work into just devastated. This is one of those times we have to simply trust God and know that He will walk with us through all the things we encounter in life. He doesn't promise that we won't have difficulties, but He does promise that he will walk with us through those times. What would we do without Him?

We also celebrated Mother's Day. I feel like the most blessed woman in the world to have Michael, Rachel and our son-in-law, Josh.

I hope you all had a Happy Mother's Day!
