Christmas

Since Rachel and Josh got married three years ago, we have been going to his parents' house for breakfast. It has worked out so well. Josh and Rachel stay over there until the afternoon and then come to our house for dinner. I'm so glad they have to choose where they will be. Family is so important to both of them. They met at the church where we pastored for 22 years, so we were already friends with his parents, Joe and Paige, before they got married. This is Sarah, Josh's sister, helping to prepare breakfast. helping get breakfast ready.
After breakfast, Paige gave a devotional. I love that they are so strong in their faith. We are so blessed to have them as family.
Josh's brother, Adam, and his wife have two little girls. Here is Josh and Rachel holding the baby. This is Addyson, the oldest. There is less than a year between their ages. Isn't she a doll?

Rachel and Josh brought Kobe, their puppy, to our house for Christmas. He and Bentley have learned to love each other, but there is still a lot of rivalry between them. Here they fighting over a toy.

We met my sister and her family at a Cracker Barrel in Alabama about halfway between where we both live the week after Christmas. He is such a good traveler. He finds a spot to lie down and stays there.

We spent a couple of hours together. I didn't get any pictures until when we were leaving. Their son, Jason, and his wife, Tricia, have three kids, and they are adorable! Rachel and Josh brought Kobe along for the ride.
This is my sister with Seyla, the baby.  She might look dainty, but she can hold her own with her two older brothers!

This is Asher, the middle child.
This is Micah, the oldest. Not a great picture but the only one I had of him.

All in all, we had a fantastic Christmas. It's all about celebrating the birth of our Savior and being with family and friends!!
